Reduce the file size of a photo so it is easier to send, upload or store.
How to use
- Tap the box and choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image.
- Move the quality slider. Lower quality gives a smaller file.
- Optionally enter a maximum width in pixels to shrink the picture as well.
- Tap Compress image, check the preview, then tap Download.
Supported input and limits
JPG, PNG and WebP images, up to 15 MB each (50 MB with Boost) and up to 64 megapixels. The result is always saved as a JPEG file.
Everything is processed on your device; your files are not uploaded. Need larger files? See the optional Boost.
Example
A 4 MB phone photo at quality 70 and a maximum width of 1600 px is often well under 1 MB.
